To help allow the new French expatriates who have recently arrived in Dk to settle in more easily, the Chamber is organizing an intercultural training

Have you welcomed new French expatriates in your team this year?

Even though France and Denmark are geographically close and have a lot of in common, intercultural differences can create misunderstandings at work. From both the French and the Danish sides we often get these same questions: Why do they react like that? Did I make a mistake? Are they upset? I don't understand why...?

To help allow the new French expatriates who have recently arrived in Denmark to settle in more easily, the Chamber is organizing an intercultural training on 12 November 2024 in Copenhagen.

The program of the day will ensure that your employees will gain a better understanding of their new country.

After a quick introduction to Danish history and geography, we will introduce the Danish education system, which is very different from the French one, and an important aspect to understand when navigating Danish society and to understand the main differences between our two cultures.

The training will be held in French.

Here is the program of the training:
09h00 - 9h45 Introduction: tour de table / your perceptions of Danish culture and Danes
09h45 - 10h45 Denmark and the Danes: an overview of the specific geographical, historical, social and economic features that shape the country's culture
10h45 - 11h00 Break
11h00 - 11h45 Understanding the Danes at work through their education system
11h45 - 12h30 Exchanges with a Danish professional working with the French people.
12h30 - 13h30 Lunch break
13h30 - 14h00 Danish perceptions of France and the French
14h00 - 15h30 Exploring key professional situations: best practices and pitfalls to avoid when dealing with Danes
15h30 - 15h45 Break
15h45-  16h30 Exchanges with a French professional working with Danes
16h30 - 17h00 Conclusion
