Entrepreneur of the Year award ceremony 2022
Entrepreneurship is thriving!
Despite the last two years being plagued by the pandemic, the entrepreneurial spirits have risen to the challenge. This was evident during the fifth edition of the Danish-French Chamber of Commerce’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award ceremony, organized on the 7th of April at the French Embassy in Copenhagen. The award is organized in collaboration with Atos.
This year the winner was Nielsen Mobility Concept, who were handed the award of “Entrepreneur of the Year” by Claus Larsen, Ulrik Fleischer-Michaelsen and Frederic Rimoux. Nielsen Mobility Concept is dedicated to promoting bike-cycles as a viable alternative to conventional means of transportation, through tracking de-carbonization progress and bike shelters to prevent theft. Already developed in France, it now seeks to expand to Denmark, where the Danes share the appreciation for a bike-cycle culture.
The country manager of Atos Denmark, Claus Larsen, gave a presentation on Atos and their development throughout the years sustained by continuous innovation. Claus Larsen, besides explaining the immense tasks of being an essential part of organizing the Olympic Games, also gave an inspirational speech to the hopeful entrepreneurs present.
Another highly valued partner of this award is 360 Law Firm represented by Ulrik Fleischer-Michaelsen (partner), who through his daily work has vast experience with entrepreneurial companies. Ulrik spoke to the importance of entrepreneurs taking the chance to venture new places and take innovative approaches. Realizing that starting new or seeking growth is not easy, 360 Law Firm kindly offered a grant of legal support of 20.000 DKK to the winner, to assist in the journey to come.
As a former winner of the award, Thomas Norman Canguilhem, CEO and co-founder of Ecotree, also attended the award ceremony and spoke to the crowd. Being an entrepreneur himself, Thomas is well aware of the challenges confronting those who venture on their own and provided a motivational speech. Thomas also explained how this award helping him and Ecotree sustain their growth and served as a stamp of approval to the outside world.
A huge thanks to other 3 applications we received this year:
- Flora Maurincomme, who is going to establish a coaching business in Denmark in the coming months
- La Tarte Flambée, Amar Lariane who will launch a Food Truck in the north of Copenhagen to sell this food speciality from Alsace
- Digital Selection, Francois Lejolly who is going to open a Danish office of his recruitment agency soon.
The wine importer VinFraLoire provided the winner with an additional prize, a gift 100% from Loire including a bottle of wine and, highly appropriate for this years winner, a luxurious attached to the bike with the purpose of carrying a bottle of wine.
The evening was concluded by a glass of wine and snacks allowing our guests to networking and get better acquainted. Thank you to Les Grands Chais de France for providing the delicious French wines.
