From Checkboxes to Real Change: Rethinking Corporate Responsibility conference at CBS
On the 6th of November The Danish-French Chamber of Commerce organised a conference in partnership with EcoTree at CBS on a very hot topic for all companies: "From Checkboxes to Real Change: Rethinking Corporate Responsibility."
After the welcome speech from our Chairman Anders Torbøl, the French Ambassador Christophe Parisot introduced the conference.
The first presentation was done by Thomas Canguilhem, CEO of EcoTree and board member of the Chamber on the theme: The Future of Corporate Responsibility: Is compliance the new philanthropy?
Following the Thomas’ presentation, we welcomed Flemming Pristed on the stage, Partner at Poul Schmith/Kammeradvokaten who highlighted the fact that CSRD was only one step to improve the ESG company strategy, not at all a final goal.
After the 2 first presentations we had the chance to welcome 3 speakers on the stage for a paneldebate:
- Kristoffer Sparre - Ecotree - Head of business & nature development Northern Europe.
- Josefin Byqvist - Saint-Gobain - Sustainability Strategy Lead.
- Anne-Cecilé Moreno - Maersk - Head of Energy Transition (Transparency & Enablement), Senior Director.
The three panelists exchanged about the practical Implications of the CSRD for Businesses & going beyond compliance in their companies.
A big thanks to all these speakers who shared their concrete expriences with the participants about this topic, and a special thanks to the moderator Astrid Rose Hegnar, student at CBS in MSc in Philosophy and Business Administration and Member of Business Unusual - Student Organisation.
We also would like to thank the 100 participants that signed up for the event. Following the conference, the guests have shared a glass of wine offered by Les Grands Chais de France and enjoyed this time by developing their network and continuing the discussion about the CSRD challenges.
