New Sponsor Member - Moët Hennessy
We are delighted to welcome a new sponsor member: Moët Hennessy
Moët Hennessy is LVMH’s wines and spirits arm. Its brand portfolio has a high and very high end focus.
MH is global leader in the sector and owns 23 Maisons, of which some are several centuries old. Founded by visionary and dedicated entrepreneurs, they have been passed down from generation to generation. Their descendents developed them and continued to perpetuate the "family spirit" which is so important to our group. Their history has merged with that of their countries of origin and they have become part of their heritage.
Our Maisons have a history which often goes back for centuries, a rich heritage built on uncompromising perfection and unique expertise handed down from generation to generation. Drawing on this, they constantly reinvent themselves to turn every sip into a unique experience. Constant progress and a passion for innovation which upholds the finest traditions are essential characteristics of the group.
This holds true in France, where Hennessy (1765) in Cognac and Moët & Chandon (1743), Dom Pérignon, Mercier, Veuve Clicquot (1772), Ruinart (1729) and Krug (1843) in Champagne stand out for their very strong regional roots. They are very attached to their place of origin and contribute to its global reputation. Moët Hennessy’s portfolio also includes Glenmorangie (owner of the eponymous brand and also of Ardbeg) which crafts single malt Scotch whisky in Scotland, Woodinville which crafts bourbon and rye whiskey in the US, Belvedere (1993) which produces vodka in Poland and Volcan de mi Tierra (2017) which crafts a super-premium tequila. The Estates & Wines division groups together still and sparkling wines, namely Newton (California, 1977), Cape Mentelle (Australia, 1970), Cloudy Bay (New Zealand, 1985), Numanthia (Spain), Terrazas de los Andes and Cheval des Andes (Argentina) and Chandon (Brazil, California, Argentina, Australia and very recently China and India). The Maison Volcán de Mi Tierra (Mexico) distils a super-premium tequila, while Clos19 is the Maison dedicated to the art of hosting.
Three other iconic wines must also be mentioned: Château Cheval Blanc (Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A, 1832), Château d’Yquem (the only Sauternes Premier Cru Classé Supérieur, 1593) and Clos des Lambrays (Burgundy Grand Cru, 1365).
Colgin Cellars (California) also recently joined the portfolio at the end of 2017.
Moët Hennessy relies on a global distribution network to sell its wines and spirits in 160 countries divided into regions: MH USA, MH Europe, MH Asia Oceania, MHD China, MHD Japan, MH Latin America & Carribean, MH Africa & Middle East and GTR. This unique system enhances the strength and prestige of the world’s leading network in the luxury wines and spirits sector.
“Moving forward is natural to Moët Hennessy, with its portfolio of brands offering every one of us an experience which reminds us of a particular place, and which leaves us with often emotionally charged memories” PHILIPPE SCHAUS - CEO of Moët Hennessy
