Brøndby IF - Lyon

In this year’s edition of the UEFA Europa League we saw a clash between France and Denmark. The Danish-French Chamber of Commerce was fortunate enough to organize an event for our members, including a pre-game dinner in the Europa Lounge and VIP seats in the stands for the match afterwards.

Prior to the match, the Chamber was invited to participate at an official lunch organised with the board of Brøndby IF, including chairman Jan Bech Andersen, and the board of Lyon, including Jean-Michel Aulas. It was highly interesting talking about football, the Danish-French relationship, and more general business discussions with these renowned businessmen.

Brøndby IF was hosting the second fixture against Olympique Lyon on home turf, which was critical for Brøndby’s chances of further advancement in the European competitions. Lyon won the initial encounter in France, and following a close match in Denmark between two strong sides, the French team, who are amongst the favourites in the tournament, won the match against the Danish champions. Bien joué OL!

The Chamber had invited several of our members to join us for an evening under the lights, which provided a good setting for networking and promoting business activities. Once again, sports proved to be not only an arena for opponents but also a common meeting ground for likeminded – no matter team colors or nationality. We hope that you all enjoyed the evening planned and found new acquaintances, business connections and got to further develop your network.

A huge thanks to Brøndby IF for providing the Chamber with this possibility, and to all of our members who joined us for an evening in the name of football and business. Please find below pictures from the event.
