CSR event at CBS
The Danish-French Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the CBS student organization BLC Union, organized a panel-debate on the theme of CSR and sustainability. The conference took place at Copenhagen Business School on the 3rd of November 2021.
The conference was introduced by the French Ambassador, Caroline Ferrari, followed by a presentation of the Chamber of Commerce, by the Chairman Anders Torbøl. The representatives from BLC Union were also on stage to introduce their student organization and explain the work they do.
In order to provide some perspective on this, for some complicated theme of CSR, the conference included testimonies from two CBS students and a young French VIE. The younger generation cares greatly about the future and places large emphasis on the importance for CSR and sustainability. Thank you for participating.
We had the pleasure of having four speakers participating in the panel debate, representing four different companies. Vibe Puggaard, Managing Director of Hays Specialist Recruitment, served as moderator for the debate, thank you very much Vibe. Each of the four speakers introduced different themes to the debate creating the foundation for a nuanced discussion. Mikael Zakarian, CFO of Microsoft Denmark, talked about the focus on LGBT+ inclusion, Christina Heineke Petersen, Head of Country Services at TotalEnergies, introduced the recent transition of TotalEnergies, Emma Hurley, Nordic Sustainability leader at L'Oréal, introduced their For The Future program, and Ulrik Fonsmark Andreasen, Managing Partner at Impact Partners, offered an interesting point of view on the role of investors for CSR. Thank you all for participating and sharing your knowledge and experience.
The conference saw a diverse group of participants, comprised of both CBS students and business professionals. The different questions being answered and discussed by representatives from very different companies made for an insightful conference. After the conference ended, the Chamber offered a glass of networking-wine, kindly provided by Les Grands Chais de France.
